Fish In Teriyaki Sauce

I am a die hard fan of Asian style cuisine. During my pregnancy i so craved for  chinese cuisine, that my doc adviced me to try homemade chinese foods. And there begins my journey of preparing authentic chinese foods thats too like restaurants.
I am having a huge collection of all kinds of chinese sauces. Sauces play a big part while making delicious chinese foods. Some sauces are also very easily can be prepared then and there.

Today i tried this Teriyaki Sauce, which you cant get in supermarkets, but one have to make it by mixing some other flavoured sauces. So quickly jumping to the recipe.

Preparation time: 10 mins
Cooking time: 25 mins

Ingredients:

For fish marinating:
500gm boneless fish fillets (cube cut),
1 tsp garlic paste,
1/2 tsp white pepper,
1 egg,
1 tbsp cornflour,
1 tbsp all purpose flour,
Salt.

For sauce:
1/2 cup soy sauce,
1/4 cup water,
2 tbsp sweet rice wine,
2 tbsp powdered jaggery,
1/4 cup sugar,
1 1/2 teaspoons minced garlic,
1 1/2 teaspoons minced ginger,

For Glaze:
1/2 tbsp cornstarch
1/4 cup water

Process:

Marinate the fish fillets with all above ingredients. Keep aside for 10mins.
Heat oil in a wok fry the fish pieces as pakoras, check the doneness. Keep aside.
Same oil sauté 2 big onions (cube cut).
On the other hand in a sauce pan mix all ingredients of sauce. Mix till sugar melts.
Put the gas on,  bring the sauce to boil. 
Prepare the glaze by mixing water and cornstarch and mix with sauce.
Add the fried fish and onions. Mix all with sauce.
Serve with any rice or noodles.
