Dum Aloo with gobindo bhog rice. Gobindo bhog rice is super aromatic rice found specially in West Bengal. Any polau or payesh is simply incomplete without this rice. A normal aloo ka dum cooked with this aromatic rice. Pure veg or niramish aloo dum without onion and garlic. It can be paired with any fulkas or luchi or paratha.

Cooking time: 10 mins
Ingredients:
500gm baby potatoes (boiled and peeled),
1 tsp whole jeera,
1 bay leaf,
11 tsp ginger paste,
1 tsp turmeric powder,
1 tomato (chopped),
2 green chillies (chopped),
1 tsp ghee
2 tbsp mustard oil,
1 tsp sugar,
Salt
Process:
Heat oil, fry potatoes ( already boiled and peeled) little golden with salt and pinch of turmeric powder. Keep aside.
Same oil temper with whole jeera, add soaked rice ( without water). Fry the rice little bit.
Add chopped tomatoes, green peas, green chillies, turmeric powder and salt.
After the masala is ready add fried potatoes.
Add 2 cups water. Cover the lid, allow the rice to boil.
Check if the rice is done.
Lastly add garam masala powder, ghee and sugar.
Dum Aloo ready to serve.
