5mins Oreo Cake

Oreo Cakes in 5 mins. Super fast and easy with three ingredients only. My kiddo and hubby simply love it. Do give it a try. Healthy and spongy cakes in no time.

Preparation time: 5 mins
Cooking time: 5 mins

Ingredients:

20 Oreo biscuits (pair),
1 and 1/2 cup milk,
1 tbsp baking powder,
Dry fruits (optional).

For greasing:

1/2 tsp olive oil,
1/2 tsp whole wheat flour (for dusting).

Process:

Crush the oreo biscuits using your hands.
Place them in a mixer grinder.
Grind to semi crush.
Add milk, run grinder for batter consistency.
Add baking powder, run the grinder once.
Grease the baking tray or microwave safe bowl with olive oil and dust wheat flour (it will help the cake to come out clean).
Pour it in greased bowl or tray, top with dry fruits.
Bake for 5 mins.
Check with toothpick, ( if needed can run for another 1 min).
Allow it to cool.

Niramish Dum Aloo

Dum Aloo with gobindo bhog rice. Gobindo bhog rice is super aromatic rice  found specially in West Bengal. Any polau or payesh is simply incomplete without this rice. A normal aloo ka dum cooked with this aromatic rice. Pure veg or niramish aloo dum without onion and garlic. It can be paired with any fulkas or luchi or paratha.

Preparation time: 5 mins
Cooking time: 10 mins

Ingredients:

500gm baby potatoes (boiled and peeled),

1 tsp whole jeera,

1 bay leaf,

11 tsp ginger paste, 

1 tsp turmeric powder, 

1 tomato (chopped),
2 green chillies (chopped),
1 tsp ghee
2 tbsp mustard oil,
1 tsp sugar,
Salt


Process:

Heat oil, fry potatoes ( already boiled and peeled)  little golden with salt and pinch of turmeric powder. Keep aside.
Same oil temper with whole jeera, add soaked rice ( without water).  Fry the rice little bit.
Add chopped tomatoes, green peas,  green chillies, turmeric powder and salt.
After the masala is ready add fried potatoes.
Add 2 cups water. Cover the lid,  allow the rice to boil.
Check if the rice is done.
Lastly add garam masala powder, ghee and sugar.
Dum Aloo ready to serve.
